Carol Beresford
Founder, 2002

Carol founded the first Hannah’s Home in Mentor, Ohio in 2001. She then moved to Tequesta, Florida where started a second home. Since our doors opened in 2011, Carol has played an invaluable role in this ministry and our community.

Jon Olson
President, 2005

Jon has supported our mission and served as chairman of the board since 2005. He brings decades of experience as an architect and is currently a partner at Spalding + Olson Design Group LLC in Jupiter, Florida.

Michael Rhodes
Treasurer, 2002

Michael has served as our board treasurer since the home’s inception in 2002. He is originally from Tennessee and is passionate about helping vulnerable populations. Michael is currently the CFO at Goodmark PLC.

Jennifer Morton
Member, 2013

Jennifer joined the board of directors as a member in 2013. Shortly after, she founded JMorton Planning & Landscape Architecture following a successful 22-year career in land planning and landscape architecture.

Michael Hale
Member, 2022

Michael joined the board with extensive experience as a lawyer in commercial litigation, general liability and trucking and transportation. He was raised in South Florida and is currently a partner at Traub Lieberman.

Shawn Teufel
Member, 2023

Shawn has been an invaluable member of our team since 2020. As a founding member of Sykon Capital, his private wealth management firm provides families with investment management and financial planning, locally and across the country.

Karen Hilo
Chief Executive Officer

Karen has a passion for helping ambitious leaders achieve excellence. She formerly served as CEO of Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County and as an executive business consultant at Sea Level Consulting LLC.

Abby Brennan
Project Consultant

Abby served eight years as Mayor of the Village of Tequesta and two as Council Member. Abby has over 35 years of experience in finance, fundraising, public/private joint ventures, and commercial real-estate development.

Victoria Bogan
Resident Program Manager

Victoria moved to Florida from New York over a year ago to work in ministry. She loves spending time with family, reading, and is currently pursuing her degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling. She feels blessed to work for our residents!

Mary Arden Carroll
PR & Development Manager

Mary Arden is from Rome, Georgia and moved to Florida for college at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she studied public relations. She specializes in social media strategy, integrated marketing, and donor relations.

Pamela Keintz
Volunteer Coordinator

Pamela grew up in Bordentown, New Jersey. She loves reading, walking, kayaking, her husband of 32 years, their two sons and golden retriever, Lola. Pamela felt the Lord’s calling many years ago to serve young women in need.

Beth Beson
Financial Administrator

Beth has served Hannah’s Home for over five years with extensive experience in finance, accounting and office management. She is a fervent supporter of our mission, enjoys golfing and resides in Palm Beach Gardens.

Amanda Laing
Case Manager

Amanda is originally from Illinois but has lived in Florida for the last eight years. Her baby, Lillian Grace, is her pride and joy who loves to play with the other resident babies at Hannah’s Home.

Betty Wolcott
House Parent

Betty is from Pennsylvania with a degree in education. She taught at Jupiter Christian School for nine years and most of her career has been spent with children and teens.

Megan Johnson
Student Intern

Megan is from Wellington, Florida and a mom of three girls. She is currently pursuing a degree in human services at Palm Beach State College and also serves at Good Shepherd Episcopal School.
